About Gainsville GYN Oncology

At Gainesville GYN Oncology, we are dedicated to treating women who have or may have a gynecologic malignancy such as cervical, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal or vulvar cancer. Our gynecologic oncologist, Daylene Ripley, MD and clinic staff work together to provide care that is technologically advanced in an atmosphere that is warm, friendly and caring.

Our full spectrum of services for cancer patients includes CT , MRI , PET /CT , pathology, surgical oncology, medical and radiation oncology, inpatient and outpatient nursing services, therapeutic rehabilitation for cancer patients, an oncology nurse navigator and a resource library inside The Cancer Center. Our cancer program is designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as a Commission on Cancer-Approved Cancer Program by The American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Ripley performs surgery at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida and provide consultations at their office on the hospital campus.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

The da Vinci^® Surgical System is designed to provide surgeons with enhanced capabilities, including high-definition 3D vision and a magnified view. For patients who are eligible for minimally-invasive surgery, two da Vinci^® Surgical Systems are available at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Dr. Ripley has significant experience performing minimally-invasive surgery using this advanced technology. It allows the doctors to perform complex procedures through just a few tiny openings.
